VITA Interest Meeting

Tax season is approaching and we are seeking volunteer tax preparers to participate in our annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. The Hunter College VITA Program offers free income tax preparation services to low-income individuals and families. As such, VITA is a worthwhile program that gives back to the community while providing an invaluable opportunity for volunteers to acquire experience in the tax field.

No prior experience is required to join; simply bring your enthusiasm and dedication to this wonderful cause!

Accounting Society's VITA Vice Presidents Jimmy Chu and Wendy Perez will be discussing everything you need to know regarding VITA. Topics such as the informational and computer trainings, the certification process, program requirements, and the new implementation of the program for this season will be discussed. So be sure to attend and be prepared to ask questions about the program!

If you are interested in participating in the VITA program, your attendance at one of the interest meetings is mandatory towards your qualifications as a volunteer.

You must attend on either:

  • Tuesday, December 1, 2020 12 PM – 2 PM

  • Friday, December 4, 2020 7 PM – 9 PM

Be aware that all upcoming events and information given are tentative as we navigate VITA in this new format.
